About
I’m a data scientist who enjoys turning messy data into meaningful decisions. Over the past decade, I have worked across analytics, experimentation, machine learning, and data products—building pipelines, models, measurement frameworks, and decision tools that connect technical work with practical business outcomes.
My focus is the point where business questions meet algorithms. I care about defining the right problem before selecting a method, checking whether the available data can support a trustworthy answer, and communicating results so that people can act on them. Accuracy matters, but so do clarity, explainability, maintainability, and the realities of how a model or insight will be used.
My current interests include marketplace and product analytics; experimentation and causal inference; geospatial analysis and spatial machine learning; generative AI, AI agents, and evaluation; and trustworthy data-science workflows that combine human judgment with automation.
I also write practical notes about statistics, machine learning, deep learning, and applied data science. The goal is to make technical ideas easier to reason about and connect them to real analytical decisions rather than presenting methods in isolation.
I hold a Master’s in Applied Data Science from Utrecht University. Strong data science is not only about producing code or models—it is about reaching a reliable conclusion, understanding its limits, and helping others use it well.
If you would like to collaborate, discuss an applied data problem, or simply say hello, send me a note or connect on LinkedIn.
